Things for grown ups to do in Bognor Regis this year

WOW! Doesn’t Bognor Regis bounce back! After the last couple of years the planet has had, you’d think we’d all be still brushing ourselves down a bit – but not our favourite sunny seaside town!

There has been an explosion of things to do in Bognor Regis in the last year and that doesn’t just mean all the extra seaside attractions.

Our town is now bursting even more with bags of culture and entertainment, with new restaurants, bars and experiences popping up all over the place, showcasing just how modern and up with the times Bognor Regis really is.

Grown-up time!

There are plenty of new things for grown ups to do in Bognor Regis, and one place up there among the coolest is Cabana Verde in York Road, a coffee shop, cum cocktail bar which brings the tantalising twist of the chance to enjoy the benefits of CBD infused coffee and cocktails.

The owners say: “Our mission is to destigmatise cannabis and show the world that it can be used in many beneficial ways . Adding a drop of CBD to your coffee each day can present a multitude of positive benefits including; improved focus, better sleeping pattern, anti-anxiety, anti-inflammatory, to name a few!”

Open from 8am to 11pm every day of the week, the venue holds a series of live comedy and music events and it is going down a storm with plenty of rave reviews from our Bognor Regis locals!

Another place to open up recently is the Caribbean bar, cafe and entertainment venue Suga’kane which has brought with it a truly chilled Caribbean vibe to the town. Every Sunday you can relax and unwind with two for one cocktails while you enjoy a spot of reggae and top notch Caribbean food. Also situated in York Road, it’s a great place to enjoy some soul-filled socialising. Watch out for more of their Sunday brunch events coming up soon!

The bars and restaurants of Bognor Regis which have been around a bit longer have been upping their game too, with The William Hardwicke launching the town’s first bottomless brunch event, one of which was hosted recently by drag queens. Also, the very popular Syrups Cafe recently underwent a smashing facelift, making it even more perfect as a place to go for breakfast or brunch, to mop up the booze from the night before.

New places to eat in Bognor Regis

There have also been some new restaurants which have opened up recently, offering the chance to try some amazing multi-cultural cuisine.

Not saying it’s just for the grown ups, but anyone who likes a spot of Mexican food should check out Hey Amigo! Homemade Mexican food cooked fresh on the premises every day – you can even watch your food being cooked from your table and the food can be as spicy as you want it to be!

Although it opened around a year ago, as with many businesses, the family-run restaurant in Royal Parade felt the strain of the pandemic, but it has come out fighting! Definitely worth checking out, if you fancy a spot of delicious Mexican food.

And who can say they’ve been to a Balkan restaurant in Bognor Regis before? Pay a visit to 359 Bistro Bar on Sudley Road – the food is inspired by the flavours of the Balkan regions and served in a traditional manner, all overseen by its Bulgarian owner, who clearly has a passion for the food from his hometown.

Bring it on Bognor!

All in all we’ve been pretty impressed with how our amazing UK seaside town has revived itself after the blight of COVID-19 and Bognor Regis has bounced back with even more things to see and do.

A massive well done to all of our entrepreneurial business owners, you’re doing us proud! Keep up the good work guys!
