Bognor Regis Picturedrome Cinema

Located opposite the railway station, the Bognor Regis Picturedrome Cinema is a Grade II-listed find. The cinema might be newly refurbished, but the prices are reassuringly old-fashioned, and you will notice the difference when comparing tickets, drinks, and snacks with the prices of the bigger cinemas in the area. So, if the weather takes a turn for the worse, settle in with a good film in beautiful surroundings.

Bognor Regis Mini Golf

Mini golf in Bognor Regis is a fun half-term activity for the whole family. You can enjoy the fresh air and the scenic views of the seaside while playing a friendly game of golf. Weather permitting, the course will be open daily from 10am until 4.30pm over half-term. Prices are £6 per person, or £4 for children under 10 – the team at Bognor Regis Mini Golf have you covered for a funway to spend time outside with your loved ones!

Bognor Regis Library

Bognor Regis Library has a range of activities planned for children during the February half-term break. Here are some of the events that your children can participate in:

Rhyme Time: A fun and interactive session for children aged 0-5 years, where they can sing and dance along to nursery rhymes and songs. This event takes place every Monday from 10:00-10:30 AM.

Board Games for Families: A great way to spend quality time with your family while playing board games. This event takes place every Tuesday from 2:00-4:00 PM.

Construction Club: A creative and imaginative session for children aged 5-11 years, where they can build and create using a variety of materials. This event takes place every Thursday from 3:30-4:30 PM.

Storytime: A fun and engaging session for children aged 0-5 years, where they can listen to stories and participate in activities. This event takes place every Saturday from 11:00-11:30 AM.

Arun Leisure Centre

Arun Leisure Centre has a range of activities planned for children during the February half-term break, including ‘Day Camps’ for children aged 5-12 years old involving a variety of activities such as swimming, arts and crafts, and sports. They also offer swimming lessons, trampolining, and gymnastics, as well as ‘Junior Gym Sessions’ for children aged 11 years and over.

Hotham Park

If you can brave the February weather, the range of activities in Hotham Park makes it an ideal destination. The mini golf and miniature railway do charge, but the play park and massive green spaces are all free to use and perfect for keeping the kids entertained for a while. Take a football for a kick about, or scooters and bikes to explore the many pathways.

Fossil hunting at Bognor Regis Beach

Bognor Regis, renowned for its London Clay formation, is an ideal spot for fossil enthusiasts. The area is particularly rich in certain insect species, plant fossils, brachiopods, and bivalves, with some specimens boasting impressive sizes. For prime fossil hunting, explore the area around Bognor Rocks with caution, extend your search westward past the pier up to Aldwick Rocks. If you’re new to fossil hunting, a fun way to ease into it is by competing to find the most unique shells and stones.

Arena Sports Centre

Will be be running their Half Term Tots drop-in sessions between 9am-3pm, Monday-Friday over February half-term (week beginning 12th February). Beach clean

The fantastic folk at Bognor Litterpickers are hosting a half-term beach clean on Saturday 10th February 10-12 pm. (Meeting point is at the Bandstand on the seafront.) Participating in a local beach clean-up is an excellent way to make the most of your half-term! Not only is it a productive and rewarding activity but also a meaningful contribution to preserving the natural beauty of our coastlines. It’s a fun and hands-on way to teach younger generations about the importance of environmental stewardship.

RSPB Pagham Harbour Nature Reserve

With spring just around the corner, the expert team at the Pagham Harbour Local Nature Reserve have a series of events over the half-term break such as their ‘Signs of spring treasure hunt and crafts.’ As well as guided walks and bird watching, there are plenty of activities for young ones to get involved with while enjoying being outside in nature.
