School’s out and the sun’s (hopefully) shining – so we’ve rounded up some of the best playgrounds in and around Bognor Regis to help you plan your next family outing. Whether your little ones love swings, slides or just plenty of open space to run wild, there’s something here for everyone.

Play on the Beach – Bognor Regis Seafront

A small but cheerful seaside play area right on the promenade near the bandstand. Think sandy feet, sea breeze, and a space for children to burn off energy while you enjoy a coffee or ice cream nearby. Best for toddlers and younger children.

Hotham Park Playground – Central Bognor Regis

This large, well-equipped playground is a local favourite, with wooden play structures, climbing frames, swings, slides and a zip wire – all surrounded by the leafy setting of Hotham Park. With cafés, mini-golf and a train ride just a few steps away, it’s easy to make a day of it.

West Park – Aldwick

West Park’s play area offers a good mix of equipment for different ages, including climbing units and swings. The open green space and nearby café make it a popular choice for relaxed afternoons or meet-ups with friends.

Larksfield Park – Middleton‑on‑Sea

Sunken Gardens – Near the Pier, Bognor Regis

A peaceful walled garden that’s home to a newly-renovated enclosed play area, ideal for younger children. A lovely colourful spot for a gentle stroll or a picnic nearby.

Longbrook Park Play Area – North Bersted

Set beside a stream and surrounded by nature, Longbrook Park has a simple but spacious playground with a climbing unit and swings. It’s a great spot for a walk and play in a more rural setting, with a mix of sunny and shaded areas.

King George V Recreation Ground – Felpham

One of the largest open spaces in the area, with a well-equipped playground, skate park, basketball court and plenty of room for ball games and picnics. There’s a Tesco Express nearby too, handy if you’ve forgotten snacks or water bottles.

Shrubbs Field – Middleton-on-Sea

A traditional village green feel, with a modest play area that includes swings and a slide. There’s lots of space for ball games and a relaxed atmosphere that’s perfect for a slower pace of play.

Priory Park – Chichester By Atanas (Adobe)

A short drive away, Priory Park has a spacious playground in a historic walled setting, with views of Chichester Cathedral and access to wide green lawns. The play area is varied and modern, and the whole park has a lovely balance of history and family-friendly charm.
