SILENT BOOK PARTY (The National Year of Reading 2026)

On Sunday 26th July we are holding another of our pre-loved books clearance sales, so thought it might be nice to encourage a silent reading get together. Come to Station Square and join a gathering for book lovers and fellow readers alike, where nothing much happens aside from hours of unadulterated reading time. The format is minimalist by design: bring a book, read in silence, chat if you feel like it, then read some more. No one is expected to address the gathering or even discuss what you are reading, unlike your typical book club… simply take a seat in this public space (Station Sqaure), enjoy a picnic or beverage (many surrounding businesses to choose from or bring your own), and just read and leave whenever you feel like it. As part of the NATIONAL YEAR READING, let’s make this the first Bognor Regis SILENT BOOK PARTY.
