The Big Switch at 6: Christmas lights switch-on

Switch-on of the Christmas lights on Saturday 30th November 4 – 7pm. More details coming soon – follow the Town Council’s event’s page on Facebook for the latest news. ADC are supporting the event with free parking at Fitzleet multi-storey car park from 12pm-6pm.

Dig out your fluro, grab a glow stick (FREE from the red Control Point Gazebo) and take a trip back in time to the awesome 80’s with the incredible ‘Absolute 80’s’ band live on stage.

Don’t drop that glow stick and join in with the fabulous LED Drummers who will be leading us into the BIG SWITCH AT 6, when the Towns Christmas lights will be switched on by the Town Mayor and Town Crier, helped by the mesmerising Mirror Men.

A magical Virtual Reality Sleigh ride experience will take you on a four minute Santa’s Sleigh Ride, Goody Bags, Illuminated Stilt Walkers and the epic Mirror Men will all be in the Town throughout the day. Full details and timings coming soon.
