Rag Rugging workshop

Join us for an introduction to the traditional art of rag rugging – a practical and decorative craft that has been around for hundreds of years. It’s the perfect example of creative reuse of materials, which is what we are all about here at the Resourceful Community Scrapstore. We’ll give you a brief overview of the different rag rugging techniques and then you can try it out for yourself. A complete rug would obviously take a while, so in the workshop you’ll just be making a sample which you can then use as a decoration on a bag or item of clothing, or just hang on the wall! We’ll provide all the resources and tools you need. We’ll provide hot drinks and biscuits to sustain you while you craft, as well as access to all the Scrapstore resources. £15 for non-members and £12.50 for members (you’ll need your membership number to book the reduced rate.)
